The next step
There are few things to have in mind in order to follow the argument.
First, the three waves of Alvin Toffler: Agricultural, Industrial and Cybernetics.
Second, Aristotle’s idea about population growth: “Whenever there is overpopulation, there will be poverty. And the inevitable results of poverty are: civil dissension and wrong doing”.
Third, Adam Smith’s concept about wealth: “Things have two values: Value of use and value of exchange”. Water for example, he wrote, has value of use only. Diamonds, in opposition, have value of exchange.
It is accepted that we are living a cybernetic society, walking towards overpopulation and changing economic concepts. Although market oriented, human society of the 21 century understands that water, for example, now has value of exchange…
Communication technology will make humanity feel more integrated. Problems and solutions will have planetary scale. Television and Internet make one global stage for human audience and debate. There are no more secrets. Free information is available for everyone.
Homosexuality will increase in order to avoid excess of people and because Cultural Revolution of the western society in the sixties of the 20th century allows and stimulate individual expression of behavior.
Recycling methods will be implemented in an ever accelerated speed. It will generate money and new jobs. Whereas the conventional marketplace will not be able to do so.
We already understand that the permanent size of the planet, the population growth, the diminishing stock of natural resources and the growth of pollution may cause devastating consequences for different kinds of life…
The state and democracy will have stronger significance. Together they are extremely necessary to slower and regulate the unrestrained expansion of the market economy.
Failure of politics caused by corruption and lies will provoke new forms of social organization and the improvement electing process. Society will create more accurate methods for controlling its representatives.
Work, a necessary behavior for survival, will be offered and paid with work. This working exchange will formulate new relations among people.
Energy is in and all around. With the development of motors by air compressed, the Second Law of Thermodynamics will be suppressed partially.
Climatic disasters, starvation, thirsty and land devastation will impose behavioral changes over humankind.
Oceans will be integrated to the production chain of food.
Profusion of religions will contribute, in a second moment, for spirituality.
Mankind will develop a more sophisticated approach with Nature. It will be understood that we a part of life, not controllers of it.
Economy will increase the necessary ethical submission to ecology.
